List of natural monuments in the Schärding district

The list of natural monuments in the district of Schärding lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the district of Schärding in the state of Upper Austria . Of the 23 natural monuments, 18 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, two natural monuments are protected stone blocks, two natural monuments relate to protected water sections and one natural monument is a moor. The trees and groups of trees designated as natural monuments include various native and exotic species, seven natural monuments including winter linden ( Tilia cordata ) and six summer linden ( Tilia platyphyllos ). Spatially, the natural monuments are spread across the municipality of Sankt Aegidi , where there are four natural monuments alone. There are also three natural monuments in Rainbach im Innkreis and two in Waldkirchen am Wesen .

At the time when they were placed under protection, the two linden trees had a trunk circumference (measured at a height of 1 m) of 4.2 buw. 3.1 m, had a common crown diameter of 22 m and a height of around 27 m each. 		Ahörndl moor	nd544	Kopfing im Innkreis KG:  Neukirchendorf GrStNr: 1419/2; 1419/3 location	The Ahörndl moor, a swamp moor with characteristics of a transitional moor, is home to species such as narrow-leaved / broad-leaved cottongrass, cranberry and leech sedge, despite massive disturbances. It is located around 4 km north of Kopfing at an altitude of 700 m.		03/03/1995
		Old arm of the Pram	nd379	Taufkirchen an der Pram KG:  Taufkirchen GrStNr: 439/1; 597/2; 1458; 1525/2 location	The old arm of the Pram, a former meander around 200 meters long, is located around 200 m south of the village of Leoprechting. It is home to riparian vegetation with diverse occurrences of birds and amphibians, as well as occurrences of the yellow pond rose and dragon root		09/10/1987
		Grove of trees in Diersbach	nd488	Diersbach , Inding 7, near KG:  Kalling GrStNr: 687/1 location	The group of trees consists of two common horse chestnuts ( Aesculus hippocastanum ) and a winter linden ( Tilia cordata ) around a stone cross pillar in the village of Inding, the age of the trees is estimated to be 130 years.		12/18/1992
		Wayside linden tree in beech	nd588	Diersbach KG:  Angsüß GrStNr: 1788 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) stands on a hill in the village of Buchet next to a stone tortoise. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference (measured at a height of 1 m) of 4.35 m, a crown diameter of 19 m and a height of around 27 m. The age of the tree has been estimated to be 150 to 200 years.		01/24/2001
		Double linden tree in Waldkirchen	nd494	Waldkirchen am Wesen , Ratzling 6, near KG:  Oberaichberg GrStNr: 1855/1 location	The summer lime tree ( Tilia platyphyllos ) stands near the Ratzling 6 estate. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference (measured at a height of 1 m) of 4.65 m, a crown diameter of 17 m and a height of around 35 m.		12/18/1992
		Correct	nd007	Brunnenthal KG:  Brunnenthal GrStNr: 1358 location	The English oak ( Quercus robur ) is around 200 m behind the Ertlhof.		September 18, 1951
		Fischerlinden in Oberleiten	nd178	Sankt Aegidi , Oberleiten 3, south KG:  Schauern GrStNr: 78/1 location	The two winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) are located at the eastern exit of Oberleiten. At the time they were placed under protection, the linden trees had a circumference of around 4 m at chest height.		03/10/1982
		Friedenslinde	nd161	Münzkirchen KG:  Eisenbirn GrStNr: 1356 Location	The Friedenslinde, a winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) in the guest garden of Gasthaus Höller in Eisenbirn, was estimated to be around 275 years old at the time it was placed under protection.		05.03.1981
		Gstoanat in St. Florian am Inn	nd336	St. Florian am Inn KG:  Unterteufenbach GrStNr: 1863/1 location	The Gstoanat is a breakthrough valley of the Pram near Allerding through the granite massif of the Sauwald . The roughly 800 m long section of the river is home to large, round granite blocks and large stocks of the yellow water lily.		December 10, 1985
		House linden tree	nd163	Esternberg KG:  Kiesdorf GrStNr: 5319 location	The summer lime tree ( Tilia platyphyllos ) stands next to the Riedlbach 3 property. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a chest height of around 5 m.		08/11/1981
		Hedge in Salling	nd374	Rainbach im Innkreis KG:  Grünberg GrStNr: 151; 153; 156; 180/2 location	The approximately 180 m long and 5 to 12 m wide woody hedge consists of pedunculate oaks, cherries, quivering poplars, blackthorn, eu cone, hazel, black elder, dog roses, hawthorn, willow, privet, viburnum and hops. The hedge extends along the so-called Steinbüchel field in the southern part of the village.		05/15/1987
		Linden group in Mittelbach	nd446	Sankt Aegidi KG:  Schauern GrStNr: 741/2; 857 location	The group of linden trees , consisting of two summer linden trees ( Tilia platyphyllos ) and one winter linden tree ( Tilia cordata ), is located northeast of the Mittelbach farm 1.		03/04/1991
		Linden group in Zwickledt	nd165	Wernstein am Inn KG:  Zwickledt GrStNr: 190; 225 location	The three winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) are on the Innviertel federal road by the Antesberger chapel in Linden. At the time they were placed under protection, the trees had a trunk circumference of 2.15 to 4.75 m at chest height.		08/11/1981
		Machtlinger-Linde in Suben	nd296	Suben KG:  Suben GrStNr: 214/2 location	The summer lime tree ( Tilia platyphyllos ) stands on the Innuferweg next to the brewery chapel. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a circumference of 4.1 m at chest height, a crown diameter of 24 m and a height of 27 m.		04/09/1985
		Quartzite conglomerate	nd083	Rainbach im Innkreis KG:  Grünburg GrStNr: 125 location	The natural monument consists of a 90 m long and up to 2.5 m high, jagged bench made of quartzite conglomerate, a 4 m high conglomerate block, the so-called "furnace stone", a smaller block with cauldron-like cavities, the so-called "Weihbrunnkessel" and one directly adjacent to the Bank adjoining block field with scattered blocks.		05/05/1976
		European beech in Erledt	nd660	Waldkirchen am Wesen KG:  Oberaichberg GrStNr: 2716/4 location	The common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) is located on a forest path. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference (measured at a height of 1 m) of 4 m, a crown diameter of 20 m and a height of around 36 m. The age of the beech, which only branches out to a crown in 13 m, was estimated to be around 200 years.		04/16/2010

		Millennial linden tree	nd079	St. Marienkirchen bei Schärding KG:  St. Marienkirchen bei Schärding GrStNr: 1081 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) is located at the "Gasthaus zur 1000-year-old lime tree" in Antiesen.		08/08/1975

		War memorial linden	gnd290	Vichtenstein KG:  Vichtenstein GrStNr: 1245/25 location	The winter linden ( Tilia cordata ) was next to the war memorial in Vichtenstein. It had a height of around 24 m, a crown diameter of 21 m and a trunk circumference of 2.7 m. The trunk, overgrown with ivy, divided into numerous thick branches at a height of 2.5 m.
