List of natural monuments in the Ried im Innkreis district

The list of natural monuments in the district of Ried im Innkreis lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the district of Ried im Innkreis in the state of Upper Austria . Of the 22 natural monuments, 21 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, a natural monument is a protected stone block. The natural monuments include various domestic and exotic species, including ten winter linden ( Tilia cordata ) alone . Spatially, the natural monuments are distributed across the municipality of Eberschwang , where there are six natural monuments alone. In addition, there are three natural monuments in the district capital Ried im Innkreis and in Mettmach and two in Geinberg .

It is located around 300 m south of the church on a hill. Another linden tree was originally part of the natural monument, but this had to be felled as a result of core rot and damage from a storm in 1986.		08/27/1957

		English oak	nd018	Eberschwang KG:  Mitterbreitsach GrStNr: 903 location	The English oak ( Quercus robur ) is located on the road from the village of Oberbreitsach via Ellenham to Eberschwanger train station.		04/19/1961
		Cemetery linden tree	nd022	Eberschwang KG:  Eberschwang GrStNr: 184 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) is located on the north side of the Eberschwang cemetery on Geboltskirchener Bezirksstraße. Originally, three linden trees were placed under protection in 1961. After a rotten linden tree was knocked down in a storm in June 1999 and one linden tree appeared endangered, the protection of two linden trees was lifted in 1999. 		2 poplars, 1 linden near the Danner chapel	nd428	Geinberg KG:  Neuhaus GrStNr: 1762; 1766/1, location	The group of trees consists of two pyramid poplars ( Populus nigra 'Italica') and a winter linden ( Tilia cordata ), which are located at the intersection of the Nonsbach supply route with the road from Geinberg to Polling.
		Oak trees on the church hill	nd035	Geinberg KG:  Geinberg GrStNr: 520; 525 location	The group of trees consists of four protected English oaks ( Quercus robur ), which are located to the west and south on the church hill in Geinberg.		03/20/1963

		Old linden tree at the Kromberg estate number 1	nd637	Lambrechte KG:  Lambrechte GrStNr: 1404/3 location	The linden tree is located south of the house pond of the Kromberg 1 property. At the time it was placed under protection, it was estimated to be around 400 years old and had a trunk circumference of 5 to 6 m. The crown diameter was 16 m, the height was estimated at around 20 m.		11/27/2003
		Quartzite conglomerate stone "Mehrnbacher Vierziger"	nd119	Mehrnbach KG:  Renetsham GrStNr: 840/2 location	The quartzite conglomerate stone on Innviertler Strasse was exposed during road construction. It weighs around 80 tons and has an area of ​​around 5 × 5 m and a height of around 2 m.		01/23/1979
		2 yew trees	nd526	Mettmach KG:  Großweiffendorf GrStNr: 2102/1 location	The two European yew trees ( Taxus baccata ) are located at the entrance to the Grünbart sawmill north of Großweiffendorf. At the time they were placed under protection, the yew trees had a trunk circumference of 1.4 or 1.3 m (measured at a height of one meter), had a crown diameter of 8 m each and a height of around 10 m. 		Mountain elm and ivy	nd522	Mettmach , Gartenstrasse 6 KG:  Mettmach GrStNr: 1588 location	The mountain elm ( Ulmus glabra ) and the ivy ( Hedera helix ) are located in the garden of the house at Gartenstrasse 6. At the time it was placed under protection, the elm had a trunk circumference of 3.3 m (measured at a height of one meter) and a crown diameter of 12 m and a height of around 25 m. The ivy had a trunk circumference of 0.7 m, a crown diameter of 3 m and a height of around 15 m.		11/25/1993
		Castle linden tree	nd264	Mettmach KG:  Hub GrStNr: 129/1 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) is around 30 m east of Hueb Castle . At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 3.82 m, a crown diameter of around 16 m and a height of around 27 m. Their age was estimated to be 300 years. 		2 plane trees	nd528	Ried im Innkreis KG:  Ried GrStNr: 879/1 location	The two plane trees stand northeast of the district court building in Ried im Innkreis. At the time when they were placed under protection, the plane trees had a trunk circumference of 4 or 4.6 m (measured at a height of one meter), had a crown diameter of 15 or 22 m and a height of around 20 m each. Note: The two trees are referred to as Platanus occidentalis (American plane tree) and Bastard plane tree (maple-leaved plane tree or Platanus × hispanica ) in the online nature conservation book .		09/13/1993
		3 winter linden trees	nd411	Ried im Innkreis KG:  Ried im Innkreis GrStNr: 134/1 location	The three winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) stand in front of the Capuchin monastery church in Kleinried near a crucifix. At the time when they were placed under protection, the linden trees had a trunk circumference of 3.1 to 4.75 m and reached a height of around 27 to 30 m.		March 8, 1990
		European beech	nd527	Ried im Innkreis KG:  Ried im Innkreis GrStNr: 879/1 location	The common beech ( Fagus silvatica ) stands east of the court building in Ried im Innkreis. At the time when it was placed under protection, the beech had a trunk circumference of 4.1 m, a crown diameter of 15 m and a height of around 25 m.		12/13/1993
		Linde in Weiketsedt	nd589	Schildorn KG:  Schildorn GrStNr: 105 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) is located in front of the property in Weiketsedt 13. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 7.25 m (measured at a height of one meter), a crown diameter of 13 m and a height of around 17 m on. The age of the tree was estimated to be 250 years. The trunk of the linden tree divides into three main branches at a height of around 6 m, which form a symmetrical crown.		01/24/2001

		Linden trees at the Wimmerkapelle	nd130	Taiskirchen im Innkreis KG:  Taiskirchen GrStNr: 466/4 location	The three winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) are in the Wimmerkapelle right next to the sign in Taiskirchen. The protection of a fourth linden tree was lifted in 1993 due to its poor condition.		08/29/1980
		Kaiser-Linde in Weilbach	nd410	Weilbach KG:  Voitshofen GrStNr: 888/2 location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) was planted in 1868 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. It is located at km 10.2 on Geinberger-Bezirksstraße by a parking lot. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 6.9 m, a crown diameter of 19 m and a height of 19 m.		07.03.1990

		European beech in Eberschwang	gnd271	Eberschwang coordinates are missing! Help.	The 100-year-old European beech had a height of around 30 m, a trunk circumference of 6.55 m and a crown diameter of 18 m and was a rare, powerful appearance in its growth form.
		Linden tree in Neuhaus	gnd409	Geinberg coordinates are missing! Help.	With its height of around 30 m, the winter linden tree was visible from afar and shaped the landscape.
