List of natural monuments in the Ried im Innkreis district
The list of natural monuments in the district of Ried im Innkreis lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the district of Ried im Innkreis in the state of Upper Austria . Of the 22 natural monuments, 21 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, a natural monument is a protected stone block. The natural monuments include various domestic and exotic species, including ten winter linden ( Tilia cordata ) alone . Spatially, the natural monuments are distributed across the municipality of Eberschwang , where there are six natural monuments alone. In addition, there are three natural monuments in the district capital Ried im Innkreis and in Mettmach and two in Geinberg .

The group of trees consists of two winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) and a common horse chestnut ( Aesculus hippocastanum ). It is located around 300 m south of the church on a hill. The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) is located on the north side of the Eberschwang cemetery on Geboltskirchener Bezirksstraße. Originally, three linden trees were placed under protection in 1961. After a rotten linden tree was knocked down in a storm in June 1999 and one linden tree appeared endangered, the protection of two linden trees was lifted in 1999. At the time it was placed under protection, the elm had a trunk circumference of 3.3 m (measured at a height of one meter) and a crown diameter of 12 m and a height of around 25 m. It is located at km 10.2 on Geinberger-Bezirksstraße by a parking lot.
