List of natural monuments in Steyr
The list of natural monuments in Steyr lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the statutory town of Steyr in the state of Upper Austria . In Steyr, only trees or groups of trees are designated as natural monuments, whereby the 14 natural monuments include three beeches, two weeping willows, chestnuts, linden, beeches and yew trees and one group of trees made up of Japanese chestnut oaks.

The common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) stands in the former city moat in the garden of the house at Berggasse 19. At the time it was placed under protection, the beech had a trunk circumference of 4.1 m (at a height of one meter), a crown diameter of 17 m and a height of around 20 m on. The common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) in the south-eastern corner of the garden at Schlüsselhofgasse 20 is estimated to be around 200 years old. At the time it was placed under protection, the beech tree had a trunk circumference of 4.45 m, a crown diameter of 18 m and a height of 27 m at a height of one meter. The common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) on the slope south of the Christkindlweg is around 40 meters from the Christkindl Church. At the time when it was placed under protection, the beech tree had a trunk circumference of 3.7 m (at a height of one meter), a crown diameter of 17 m and a height of around 30 m. The beech was created through the growing together of several beech stems or through the growing together of the stems after an early division. The weeping willow ( Salix alba tristis ) in the area of the moat had a trunk circumference of 4.20 m, a crown diameter of 19 m and a height of 22 m at the time it was placed under protection. The weeping willow ( Salix alba tristis ) next to the Steyrer Wehrgraben monument had a trunk circumference of 3.5 m (at a height of one meter), a crown diameter of 17 m and a height of around 15 m at the time it was placed under protection. An iron railing has grown entirely into the tree at a height of around one meter. |
