The Kent Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

Kent Township is located in northwest Illinois, around 20 km south of the Wisconsin border . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 50 km to the west.
It is located at 42 ° 19'33 "north latitude and 89 ° 51'44" west longitude and extends over 91.94 km².
The Kent Township is located in the west of Stephenson County and borders within it in the north on the West Point Township , in the northeast on the Waddams Township , in the east on the Erin Township , in the southeast on the Loran Township and in the southwest on the Jefferson Township . To the west, the Kent Township borders Jo Daviess County .
traffic
US Highway 20 , which is the shortest route from Dubuque , Iowa to Rockford , Illinois, runs through the township in a west-east direction . The highway crosses Illinois State Route 73 within Kent Township . All other roads are county roads and further subordinate and partly unpaved roads.
A Canadian National Railway runs through the extreme northeast corner of the township and runs west from Chicago .
The closest airfield is Albertus Airport, around 30 km southeast of the township, near Freeport , the center of the entire region.
