Location in East Nusa Tenggara Province

Westamarasi ( Indonesian Amarasi Barat ) is an Indonesian district ( Kecamatan ) in the west of the island of Timor . The area used to be part of the Amarasi Empire .

geography

Westamarasi is located southeast of the city of Kupang , on the Timor Sea . The Nekamese district lies to the west , Taebenu to the north, Amarasi to the northeast and Südamarasi to the east . Westamarasi is part of the Kupang government district of East Nusa Tenggara Province .

The district is divided into eight Desa (2010 population):

• Nekbaun (1,462 inhabitants)
• Merbaun (1,978 inhabitants)
• Erabaun (1,419 inhabitants)
• Teunbaun (2,104 inhabitants)
• Tunbaun (2,929 inhabitants)
• Soba (1,551 inhabitants)
• Niukbaun (1,351 inhabitants)
• Toobaun (1,581 inhabitants)
