The Town of Wheaton is one of 23 towns in Chippewa County in the US state of Wisconsin . In 2010 Town of Wheaton had 2,701 inhabitants.

The four-lane US Highway 12 runs through the extreme southwest of the Town of Wheaton , while the four-lane US Highway 53 forms part of its eastern boundary. The Wisconsin State Highway 29 runs in a west-east direction through the town. In addition, the County Roads F and X run here. All other roads are subordinate country roads or partly unpaved roads.
Due to the northeast of the Town runs for freight traffic a line of the Canadian National Railway belonging Wisconsin Central .
The nearest airport is the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire (on the opposite bank of the Chippewa River).
