Lake Hallie is located in western Wisconsin, on the left bank of the Chippewa River . This flows 95 km south-west in the border with Minnesota forming Mississippi . The geographic coordinates of Lake Hallie are 44 ° 53'31 "north latitude and 91 ° 25'12" west longitude. The municipality extends over an area of 37.74 km², which is spread over 36.49 km² of land and 1.25 km² of water.
Lake Hallie is located between the towns of Chippewa Falls (on the northeastern boundary) and Eau Claire (on the southwestern boundary). Other neighboring towns are Elk Mound (14.4 miles west), Eagle Point (15.2 miles north), Cadott (27.7 km east-northeast), Fall Creek (29.7 km southeast) and Altoona (11.2 km south) .
