Wiesenthal is a district in the Herrenstrunden district of the city of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Wiesenthal is located in the north on the border with Odenthal below Rosenthal on a connecting road to Herrenstrunden in the valley of the Rosenthaler Bach .

history

The place goes back to a farm that the leaseholder of the Rosenthaler Hof had built for his son in 1876. The origin of the name probably goes back to the name of the tub Auf'm Wiesenstück .

At that time the place was part of the Gladbach mayor's office in the Mülheim am Rhein district . From the Prussian new admission of 1892 the place is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as Wiesenthal or without a name.
