Viktor Borissowitsch Alexandrow ( Russian Виктор Борисович Александров ; born December 28, 1985 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who was last under contract with Admiral Vladivostok in the Continental Hockey League . His father Boris Alexandrov was also a hockey player.

Career

Viktor Alexandrov began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk , for which he was active in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, until 2002 . He won the Kazakh championship with Torpedo in the 2000/01 season , after he had entered the third-class Pervaya League the previous year with the latter's second team . The 2002/03 season began the attacker at Lokomotive Yaroslavl from the Russian Super League and Energija Kemerowo from the Wysschaja Liga, before he moved to Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Superliga during the season . After two and a half years, the left shooter left Metallurg and played for their league rivals SKA Saint Petersburg for just as long . The 2006/07 season he ended then at HK MWD Balaschicha , for which he scored two goals in a total of 22 games and gave eight assists.

After a season with his former club Metallurg Novokuznetsk Alexandrov signed for the 2008/09 season with HK Avangard Omsk from the Continental Hockey League . He spent the 2009/10 season with his league rivals Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . The following season he began with the KHL participant HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose farm team HK Metschel Chelyabinsk he also played two games in the new Russian second division, the Wysschaja Hockey League . However, he ended the season itself in Kazakhstan with Barys Astana from the KHL. Within the league, he moved to Amur Khabarovsk for the 2011/12 season . For the team he scored three goals and three assists in 15 games before his contract was terminated in November 2011. From January 2012 he was active at HK Sibir Novosibirsk before returning to Barys Astana in July of the same year.

In November 2013, his contract with Barys was dissolved, after which he was without a club. From July 2015 he completed a trial training with Admiral Vladivostok and received a contract in August 2015.

He played at Admiral until March 2018, before his contract (and the contracts of five other players) was canceled by the KHL due to a lack of salary payments.

International

For Kazakhstan , Alexandrov took part in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2001 and 2002 , the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2002 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2001 . He was also in Kazakhstan's squad at the 2001 and 2002 B World Championships . After a break of eleven years, he returned to Division I of the 2013 World Cup for the Kazakh national team. Despite a 2-1 defeat against Hungary , the Kazakhs, who won the remaining four games, won the competition and rose to the top group of the World Cup.
