Wildenroth is a former municipality in Upper Bavaria and is now part of Grafrath in the Fürstenfeldbruck district .
location
Wildenroth is about ten kilometers southwest of Fürstenfeldbruck and 30 kilometers west of Munich .
history
The area around today's Wildenroth came to the Wittelsbachers with the Welfisch - Hohenstaufen inheritance . Wildenroth Castle was built in the middle of the 13th century . In 1260 the son of Ministerial Engelschalk von Hegnenberg called himself Konrad von Wildenroth after this estate. During the division of Upper Bavaria in 1310, the castle fell to Duke Ludwig von Bayern-Ingolstadt , who later became Emperor. In the following year he mortgaged the castle again to Marshal Konrad von Wildenroth. In 1319 Konrad gave the castle to his uncle Berthold von Kühlenthal. In 1322, however, Emperor Ludwig of Bavaria donated the property to the Fürstenfeld Monastery . The castle was then torn down in the middle of the 14th century.
The place Wildenroth below the castle exercised the lower jurisdiction thanks to the privileges granted by Ludwig the Strict . Until the 17th century, Hofmark Wildenroth , which was divided by the Amper , belonged to the two district courts of Weilheim and Landsberg . Later, like the Fürstenfeld monastery, it went to the Dachau district court . The Hofmark also included Jexhof , Rothschwaig and the Schöngeisinger Forest.
On July 1, 1972, the communities were Unteralting and Wildenroth with the unanimous consent of both local councils to the municipality Grafrath together .
