Wilhelm Friedrich Maier

Wilhelm Friedrich Maier (born July 25, 1859 in Rot am See , † December 24, 1931 in Ulm ) was the Württemberg senior official at various senior offices.

Life

The son of the camera administrator Wilhelm Konrad Maier first attended elementary school , then 1869–1873 the Latin school in Backnang and 1873–1875 the high school in Heilbronn . From 1875 he was at the Protestant theological seminar in Blaubeuren . At the University of Tübingen he first studied philosophy in 1877 , then 1878–1881 law . The first higher judicial service examination in 1881 was followed by a legal clerkship at the Oberamt Eßlingen and the government of the Danube District in Ulm from 1882 to 1883 . After the second state examination in 1883, he was first briefly at the Stuttgart city office and at the Cannstatt Oberamt before he became an official at the Neckarsulm Oberamt in the same year . In 1886 he moved to the Oberamt Heidenheim in the same position . In 1887 he became a legal professor at the Hohenheim Academy as a government assessor . In 1892 he came as Oberamtsverweser to Oberamt Neuenbuerg whose bailiff he was the 1,893th From 1896 he headed the Oberamt Heilbronn , where he was appointed government councilor in 1897 . From 1900 he headed the Oberamt Ulm , where he was appointed senior government councilor in 1905/06 . In 1924 he retired.

In 1901 he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of Frederick . He had already received the Olga Order in 1898 .

His son Helmuth Maier was also a district administrator in Spaichingen and Nürtingen.
