Wilhelm Ide

Wilhelm Ide (born February 18, 1887 in Kassel , † July 19, 1963 in Marburg ) was a German narrator , comedian, travel guide writer and writer of local history.

Life

During his studies in Göttingen he became a member of the Göttingen Wingolf in 1905 . After completing his studies, Wilhelm Ide was the city ​​archivist in Kassel. Then he was employed by the Hessian state curator, in order to later be appointed managing director of the Kurhessischer Heimatbund eV. From 1924 to 1932 he had author appearances on the radio during the Weimar Republic . With Johann Lewalter he published the song book Frisch auf! In 1930 . Wilhelm Ide chose several locations for his literary works in the Hesse region. In 1933 he wrote the story The Red House . For this love story, he chose the Amselhof on the edge of Lotterberg near the Felsberg district of Wolfershausen as the setting . Three Schwarzenbörner pranks from 1937 are set in Schwarzenborn and the home game Drei Grün Blätter in Rotenburg .

Wilhelm Ide spent his retirement in Marburg an der Lahn until 1963 , where he died at the age of 76.
