Wilhelm Paul Kruger

Wilhelm Paul Krüger (born August 29, 1883 ; † July 12, 1959 in Hörnum , Sylt ; also known as Wilhelm Krüger , Wilhelm P. Krüger or WP Krüger ) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Wilhelm Paul Krüger worked on various stages in Berlin for many years . He performed at the Prussian State Theater and the Schiller Theater , among others .

From 1930 he also worked in various film productions, mostly in supporting roles .

These included the National Socialist propaganda film Carl Peters , which today can only be shown in Germany as a reserved film under certain conditions. But Krüger also played in entertainment and period films such as Die Vier Gesellen directed by Carl Froelich with the young Ingrid Bergman , Ursula Herking and Hans Söhnker , Der Gasmann with Heinz Rühmann , Anny Ondra and Will Dohm and Die Dlassung with Emil Jannings , Theodor Loos and Werner Krauss . A special feature of the film Elephant Fury of Harry Piel (also seen as an actor) with Dorothea Wieck , Hans Zesch-Ballot and Herbert AE Böhme . The film was indeed completed already in 1943, but in until 1953 Frankfurt premiered.

Krüger also worked as a radio play speaker. He worked in some episodes of the radio play series The Hunt for the Perpetrator of the North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR).

He could also be heard as a voice actor in 1957 in the Italian comedy film Rendezvous in Rome as the German voice of Mario Carotenuto .
