Wilhelm Späth

Wilhelm Späth (born November 11, 1948 in Heitersheim ) is a German diplomat .

Life

From 1967 to 1969 Wilhelm Späth studied geography , history and politics in Freiburg, Bonn and Munich. On July 24, 1973, he passed the scientific examination. From 1973 to 1974 Späth studied Latin American studies and journalism in Gainesville (Florida) . In 1981, Späth joined the foreign service. From 1983 to 1991 he worked at the Federal Chancellery in Bonn , the German Embassy in Tokyo, the EU in Brussels and the Foreign Ministry in Bonn. From 1991 to 1993 Späth was ambassador in Bangui, Central African Republic. From 2001 to 2003 Späth was the permanent representative of the consul in Osaka- Kobe . From 2007 to 2010 Späth was consul general in Marseille . In 2010 he moved to the German Embassy in Belgium as envoy. In 2014 he retired there.
