Shortly before the end of his term of office, Stockmann was elected honorary Linden Senator on August 24, 1900 . As a member of the church council of the Linden Bethlehem parish , he was “significantly involved in the construction of the Bethlehem church ”, which was then built from 1904 to 1906 according to plans by the architect Karl Mohrmann .
