Willamis de Souza Silva , better known as Souza (born February 4, 1979 in Maceió , Brazil ) is a Brazilian soccer player.

Career

Souza began his professional career in 1998 at CS Alagoano . There he won the 36th state championship of Alagoas and the Copa Conmebol 1999 , was also runner-up. Souza received an offer from Botafogo in 2000 and was given the number 10 on his back. However, due to frequent symptoms of fatigue, he could rarely play there and lost his regular place. He turned his back on the club and switched to Club Libertad . After the summer season he played for one year each for the smaller clubs Guarani FC , CS Alagoano and AA Portuguesa .

In 2003 he signed a five-year contract with São Paulo FC , where he was a regular player in the position of right full-back from 2005 to 2007. In 2008 he was sold to Paris Saint Germain . After only one instead of the three planned seasons, it was awarded to Grêmio Porto Alegre in 2008 . He made his debut in the game against EC Vitória on August 3 and scored on August 21, scoring his first goal in the game against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro at the Estádio do Maracanã . In the Copa Libertadores 2009 he was the club's top scorer with six goals in twelve games. On July 3, 2009, Gremio bought Souza from Paris Saint-Germain and gave him a contract for the 2009-10 season. In 2011 he moved to Fluminense FC . He was then under contract with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte from April 2012 to December 2013 , but was loaned to Associação Portuguesa de Desportos from January 1, 2013 until the end of the contract . On December 24th, Souza went to Ceará SC . From January 2015 to March 2016 he played for the EC Passo Fundo . In 2018 he still played for Brasiliense-DF .
