Willi Pennig (born December 28, 1908 in Mannheim , † after 1948 ) was a German football player .

Player career

Pennig belonged to SV Waldhof Mannheim from 1927 to 1943, for which he initially played point games in the championships held by the South German Football Association in the regional top division, the Rhein / Saar district league . As the winner of the Rhein group, he and his team took part in the final round of the southern German championship , which they finished seventh out of eight participating teams. His team was able to repeat this success at the end of the season 1929/30 , 1930/31 , 1931/32 and 1932/33 , the best placement in the respective participations in the finals for the South German Championship was fourth place in 1930/31 .
