William Enrique Delgado Silva (born February 27, 1951 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Cabimas .

Life

William Enrique Delgado Silva was ordained a priest on May 18, 1975 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Maracaibo and titular bishop of Vazi-Sarra on November 3, 1995 . He was ordained episcopate on December 16 of the same year by the Archbishop of Maracaibo, Ramón Ovidio Pérez Morales ; Co- consecrators were Alfredo José Rodríguez Figueroa , Archbishop of Cumaná , and Mario del Valle Moronta Rodríguez , Bishop of Los Teques .

On April 14, 1999 he was appointed the first bishop of the diocese of El Vigía-San Carlos del Zulia , which had been established five years earlier , and was introduced to the office on June 19 of the same year. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Cabimas on July 26, 2005.

On September 14, 2018, Pope Francis accepted his early resignation.
