William A. Wack CSC (born June 28, 1967 in South Bend , Indiana ) is an American religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Pensacola-Tallahassee .

Life

William Wack graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations in 1990 . Then came the Congregation of Holy Cross in, put on 28 August 1993, the profession , and received on 9 April 1994, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

As a priest he was active in pastoral care and in various areas within his religious community. In 2002 he graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Executive Management . From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the board of directors of the Diocesan Charity in the Diocese of Phoenix and from 2009 until his appointment as bishop he was a pastor in Austin . In the Diocese of Austin , he was chairman of the diocesan commission for Catholic schools, vice president of the council of priests and dean of the Austin Central Dean's Office.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Pensacola-Tallahassee on May 29, 2017 . The Archbishop of Miami , Thomas Wenski , ordained him episcopal on August 22nd of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Peoria , Daniel Robert Jenky CSC, and the Bishop of Austin, Joe Steve Vásquez .
