Wilm Tegethoff

Wilhelm "Wilm" Tegethoff (born March 24, 1927 in Warburg ; † August 30, 2018 there ) was a German lawyer and energy manager.

Life

Wilm Tegethoff graduated from high school Marianum in Warburg, studied law at the University of Frankfurt am Main and did his doctorate under Helmut Coing , where he worked as a research assistant from 1953 to 1957. He initially worked for a Bavarian energy supplier. From 1971 to 1995 he was managing director of the working group for regional energy suppliers in Hanover . From 1975 to 1984 Tegethoff was managing director of the Association of Electricity Works (VdEW) .

Wilm Tegethoff was spokesman for the board of the Berliner Kraft- und Licht (BEWAG) -AG in Berlin from 1984 to 1991 and a member of the supervisory board from 1991. He was the initiator of the standard commentary on public energy supply law , which has been continuously updated since 1982.

He was chairman of the supervisory board of Tierpark Berlin , Zoo-Aquarium Berlin and Zoologischer Garten Berlin AG as well as board member of the Association for the Promotion of the Egyptian Museum Berlin . He was also involved in the Unter den Linden State Opera . Tegethoff was a member of the advisory board of Pax-Bank and a member of the Association of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU). He was a member of the Catholic student associations KDSt.V. Guestfalo-Silesia Paderborn and KDSt.V. Hasso-Nassovia Frankfurt am Main in the CV .

Tegethoff has been involved in the Rotary Club Berlin since 1979 , for numerous social projects in Israel and was honored with the Golden Palm of Jerusalem for his work. In 1983 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in Paderborn Cathedral on May 7, 1983 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . For many years he was chief commander of the Berlin commandery. He was a Grand Cross Knight of the Papal Lay Order.
