Wolf-Dieter Lingk

Wolf-Dieter Lingk (* 1943 in Innsbruck ) is a German director and actor .

Life

He came to Berlin with his mother, but grew up first in an orphanage and later with adoptive parents . After leaving school, he worked as an engine fitter, carpenter, worker in the Upper Lusatian glassworks and as a passenger. After he decided to become an actor, he first worked as a stage worker at the Volksbühne in Berlin . At the same time, he applied to the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. In 1971 he graduated there. During his time at drama school, he married his wife, a pharmacist .

He then found his first engagement at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin . In the mid-1970s he was engaged at the Dresden State Theater before he went back to Schwerin in 1976 and was there on stage until the fall of the Berlin Wall . During this time, Christoph Schroth was acting director at the Mecklenburg State Theater. With him, Lingk went to the Berliner Ensemble in 1990 and then to the Cottbus State Theater in 1992 , where he was a permanent member of the ensemble until 2008. Since then Lingk has been working as a freelance artist and has appeared as a guest at the Dresden State Operetta, among others .

In parallel to his stage work, Wolf-Dieter Lingk has also repeatedly appeared in front of the camera for screen and television. He was particularly popular with young audiences as Dr. Habermann known in the television series Spuk from outside by CU Wiesner and Günter Meyer .
