Wolfgang Jaster

Wolfgang Jaster (* 1938 in Potsdam ; † July 13, 2013 in Bad Belzig ) was a German actor and clown .

Life

Before the diminutive Wolfgang Jaster became known as an actor and clown , the German studies graduate worked as a history teacher and as director of the Potsdam - Babelsberg district culture center . He received his first film role in 1968 in the DEFA film Hauptmann Florian von der Mühle . In 1980 he met Wolfgang Lasch at the circus in Leipzig , with whom he was on stage as the clown Eddy until 2002, not only in the GDR , but also in England , Poland , Russia and Croatia . In 1993 they were invited to the reception of the Spanish King as ambassadors for Potsdam during the World Exhibition in Seville .

Wolfgang Jaster was married to the short actress Gudrun Jaster , with whom he had many joint appearances and who died before him.
