Wolfram Leibe

Wolfram Leibe (* 1960 in Grissheim ) is a German local politician of the SPD and since April 1, 2015 Lord Mayor of Trier .

Life

Leibe completed his law degree in 1991 with the second state examination. He worked at the administrative college in Speyer and at the Saxon Ministry of Justice . From 2008 to 2012 he headed the employment agency in Trier. From 2012 he was a member of the management in the Baden-Württemberg regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency in Stuttgart .

In October 2014 Leibe stood as a candidate for the office of Lord Mayor in Trier for the SPD. In the runoff election on October 12, 2014, he prevailed with 50.22% of the votes against his challenger Hiltrud Zock (non-party, supported by the CDU ). The third candidate, Fred Konrad ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ), was eliminated in the first ballot .

Leibe is married to a professor of English and has a daughter.
