Felix Zimmermann

Felix Zimmermann (born August 25, 1933 in Munich ; † February 7, 2014 in Kassel ) was a German local politician ( CDU ) and Lord Mayor of Trier from March 1980 to 1989 .

Life

Zimmermann was born in Munich in 1933 and grew up on Lake Constance. He studied law in Munich and Cologne. Professionally, he initially worked as a lawyer and legal advisor, then head of the Trier public utility and later director of the Augsburg public utility .

As the successor to Carl-Ludwig Wagner , Felix Zimmermann was Lord Mayor of Trier from 1980 to 1989 . During his tenure, Oswald von Nell-Breuning was made an honorary citizen of the city (1981), Trier celebrated its 2000th anniversary (1984) and the TUFA was founded (1985) as the city's alternative art and communication center.
