Xavier Bosch i Sancho (born July 21, 1967 in Barcelona , Catalonia ) is a Spanish journalist , writer and TV producer who writes in Catalan .

Live and act

Bosch studied information science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona . Together with Antoni Bassas he began his career as a radio producer with the humorous program Alguna pregunta més (“Are there any more questions?”, 1994–1997), for which he was awarded the Ondas Prize.

In 2000 he became director of the radio station RAC-1. In April 2007, his program El món a RAC-1 (“the world at RAC-1”) received the award for the best radio program from the Associació Catalunya Ràdio. According to the jury report, he succeeded "in a very short time with a program characterized by high precision and good humor to get a high audience rating ."

He also wrote as a sports journalist for La Vanguardia and El Mundo Deportivo . From 2007 to 2008 he was director of the daily Avui . In 2010 he was one of the initiators of the new daily newspaper Ara , in which he has a permanent column .

He made his debut as a writer in 1992 with the novel Jo, el simolses. The trilogy with an autobiographical background about the fictional journalist Dani Santana, Se Sabrà tot (2010), Homes d'honor (2012) and Eufòria (2014) are among his best-known works. In the novel Algú com tu (2015) he leaves the world of journalism and opens up a new topic: love, death, joy and enthusiasm.

He also works for TV3 , among other things with the program Un tomb per la Vida ("A turning point for life") (1993/1994), the program Aquest Anys, Cent on the centenary of the football club Barça and from 2009 to 2013 as Moderator for the Àgora interview program .
