Yūta Nakayama ( Japanese 中山 雄 太 , Nakayama Yūta ; born February 16, 1997 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Nakayama learned to play football in the youth team of Kashiwa Reysol . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 2015. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2015 he played 12 times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. For the club he completed 76 first division games. At the end of the 2018 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In January 2019, the Dutch club PEC Zwolle signed him .

In 2019, Nakayama made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team .
