Yael Dagmar Adler (born July 17, 1973 in Frankfurt am Main , born Yael Dagmar Grözinger) is a German dermatologist and author of non-fiction books. She appears in numerous media as an expert on health topics.

Life

Adler comes from a family of academics, her grandfather was a dermatologist, father Karl Erich Grözinger is a Judaist and religious scholar, and mother Elvira Grözinger works as a literary scholar. Yael Adler himself studied human medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main and the Free University of Berlin and received his doctorate in 1999 at the University Hospital Frankfurt . She completed her training as a specialist in skin and venereal diseases (2003) and additional training as a phlebologist (2004). Adler has been a dermatologist in her own private practice since 2007. Together with a colleague she runs the private medical center for skin, vein and laser medicine in Berlin-Grunewald . Since 2009 she has been a dermatologist at the European Prevention Center and the Heart Institute Berlin . She is a member of the expert committee of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists , a member of the German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum Toxin Therapy and a member of the German Society for Nutritional Medicine . Since 2015 she has also had the additional qualification in nutrition medicine (DAEM / DGEM). She lives in Berlin with her husband, the dentist Elio Adler . The couple have two sons.

Media presence

Adler has been a skin medicine expert in mass media and active on various television broadcasters since 2003 , including ARD (Health Advice , alpha-Forum), RBB ( Abendjournal , ZIBB , RBB Praxis , Quivive ), Deutsche Welle TV (Fit & Gesund, In Good Shape), ZDF (Morgenmagazin, Volle Kanne, WISO, Fernsehgarten), also at HR and MDR . Further appearances were made on private channels RTL (Item 12, Item 6, RTL aktuell, Explosiv, Exklusiv, News), ProSieben (taff), Sat.1 in the morning magazine and news programs as well as in health programs on RTL II , VOX , N24 and n-tv . In the Planet-Wissen show Our Skin - Mirror of the Soul , she gave information as an expert. Yael Adler has been a columnist at FAZ am Sonntag since January 2017 and writes under the title "Tell me, Frau Doktor" on the subject of skin and health.

In autumn 2016, Yael Adler published the book Haut nah , which reached number 1 as a Spiegel bestseller. The book has already been translated into 33 languages. On September 3, 2018, her second book About Not Talking was published , which also became a bestseller.
