Yannick Bisson
Yannick D. Bisson (born May 16, 1969 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian actor .
life and career
Yannick Bisson spent his childhood in Montreal before moving to Toronto as a teenager for better opportunities as an actor. He made his film debut in 1984 with the film Hockey Night alongside Megan Follows and Rick Moranis . In the following years he appeared in various films and series, for example in In the Heat of the Night , Alfred Hitchcock shows , The Arms of the Law , Tropical Heat , The Hidden Room and Inspector Janek and the Psychokiller . Between 1994 and 1997 he was Joey Barrett alongside Rick Springfield one of the main characters in the series High Tide - a cool duo . Bisson had his next leading role from 1999 to 2000 in the series Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy . He also had guest appearances on Relic Hunter , Mutant X , Twice in a Lifetime and Missing - Desperately Wanted . Between 2000 and 2004 he was seen as Brian Tedrow in a supporting role in the Showtime series Soul Food for a total of 14 episodes. His next leading role followed in 2002, when he played the role of Jack Hudson alongside Deanne Bray in the series Sue Thomas: FBI . By 2005, a total of 56 episodes of the series were produced in three seasons. In 2007 he appeared in the second season of Falcon Beach .
A year later, Bisson was hired for the role of William Murdoch in the CBC series Murdoch Mysteries , which he embodies to this day.
He has been married to actress Chantal Craig since May 1990 . The two have three daughters.
