Music video

Directed by Chris Robinson. In the video, Alicia Keys plays a waitress in a café who is secretly in love with a regular (played by Mos Def ), but who hardly notices her. A tombola is regularly held in the restaurant , with a free menu being raffled off as the main prize. In a daydream, she pulls out his business card and receives his phone number. She calls him, confesses her love and proposes a date for him. The two meet at a party and get closer ... That these events only happened in their imagination becomes clear when the regular comes back to the restaurant. Only when the waitress asks him if he would like a hot chocolate (as usual) do they briefly meet. When the regular guest leaves the restaurant again, almost without a word, she remains sad. She looks wistfully after him, wondering if he ever knew that she loved him.

Others

In addition to Mos Def, Keys' mother also makes a brief cameo . She plays a cook.
