The Diary of Alicia Keys is the second album by the American R&B singer Alicia Keys . It was first released on December 1, 2003 on the J Records label. Alicia Keys won a total of three Grammys with The Diary of Alicia Keys . The album sold around four million times in the US and around eight million copies worldwide.

In addition, a DVD of the same name was released on January 3, 2005.

On September 28, 2004 a repackage version of the album was released in Australia, which was also released on October 25, 2004 in Germany. The special limited edition of the album was released on December 8, 2004 and also includes the bonus DVD The Diary . The European version also contains the song "Streets of New York" with Nas and Rakim , which contains a sample of the song "New York State of Mind" by Nas from 1994 (from his album Illmatic ).

Awards

Alicia Keys won a total of eight awards in 2004 and 2005 with the album The Diary of Alicia Keys and the singles released from it.

On February 13, 2005, Alicia Keys received three Grammys in Los Angeles in the categories of Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “ If I Ain't Got You,Best R&B Song for “ You Don't Know My Name ”and Best R&B Album for The Diary of Alicia Keys . In addition, she and Usher won the Grammy in the category Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for the duet "My Boo", which is not on the Alicia Keys album was.

Alicia Keys received the Soul Train Award in 2004. She received it in the categories Best Female R & B / Soul Album for The Diary of Alicia Keys and Best Female R & B / Soul Single for "If I Ain't Got You".
