Yumiko Hara

Yumiko Hara ( Japanese 原 裕美子 , Hara Yumiko ; born January 9, 1982 in Ashikaga ) is a former Japanese long-distance runner who has specialized in the marathon .

At the 2003 World Half Marathon Championships in Vilamoura, she came in 19th place.

In 2005, she won her debut over the 42.195 km distance at the Nagoya Marathon in 2:24:19 h. This qualified her for the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki , where she was sixth in 2:24:20 h.

In 2007 she won the Osaka Women's Marathon in 2:23:48 h and finished 18th at the World Championships in Osaka .

In 2008 she finished fourth in the Nagoya Marathon and third in Osaka in 2009. In 2010 she won the Hokkaidō Marathon .

Yumiko Hara is 1.63 m tall and weighs 45 kg. She has been with the Universal Entertainment team since 2010 , where she trained with Yoshio Koide, after having been part of the Kyocera team until 2009 .
