Yung Joc (born April 2, 1983 in Atlanta , Georgia ; real name Jasiel A. Robinson ) is an American rapper.

He was nominated for a Grammy in 2006. Yung Joc is signed to P. Diddy's label Bad Boy South Entertainment.

biography

Robinson, son of a hair care company owner, was born on April 2, 1983 in Atlanta. Robinson began rapping when he was around ten years old when his stepfather gave him an old boombox with a microphone and made his first attempts at rap to instrumental music from other songs. In 2006 he was discovered by Russell "Block" Spencer and recorded on the "Block Entertainment" label. His first single It's Goin 'Down was a huge hit and stayed in the top 10 of the American charts for several weeks . The second single I Know You See It was also successful and the album New Joc City went gold. His third single 1st Time could not find the connection. After Robinson had worked with various artists, including T-Pain , Danity Kane , Lil Boosie , 3LW and many others , he released his album Hustlenomic $ on August 28, 2007, on which he also worked with numerous artists such as The Game , Snoop Dogg , Gorilla Zoe , Trick Daddy , Diddy , Young Dro , Bun B , Jazze Pha , Rick Ross . His album started at number 3 on the Billboard album charts, but quickly plummeted. His first single, Coffee Shop , with Gorilla Zoe, was a mediocre success, as was his second single, Bottle Poppin , again with Gorilla Zoe. He also videos Gettin Money to da and I'm a G out.
