Trick Daddy (born September 23, 1973 in Miami , Florida; real name Maurice Young ) is an American rapper and music producer .
biography
Maurice Young grew up in the Miami ghetto and has 26 siblings. During his childhood the family moved frequently, including to the slums of Liberty City and Richmond Heights . He wrote his first texts when he was in prison for the first time at sixteen. He also got involved there for his fellow inmates by teaching them to read and write, as well as writing letters for them.
Originally it was called "Trick Daddy Dollars". Under this name, his debut album Based on a True Story was released in 1997 by Atlantic Records , which was released again in 2007. The album www.thug.com followed in 1998 and reached number 30 on the Billboard charts in 1999. In 2000, Books Of Thugs Chapter AK, Verse 47 , was another album that was successful in the American charts. A year later he was able to post another top position with Thugs Are Us .
