Yvon Ambrose

Yvon Ambrose (born August 30, 1942 in Puducherry , India ) is an Indian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Tuticorin .

Life

Yvon Ambrose received on 23 December 1967, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 1, 2005, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tuticorin. The Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Pedro López Quintana , donated him episcopal ordination on May 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Madurai , Peter Fernando , and the Archbishop of Pondicherry and Cuddalore , Antony Anandarayar .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on January 17, 2019.
