Yvonne Maurer

Yvonne Astrid Maurer-Groeli (* 1943 in Bern ; resident in Zurich ) is a Swiss psychiatrist , psychotherapist , theologian and founder of the Institute for Body-Centered Psychotherapy (IKP) and the private national television broadcaster Auftanken.tv .

biography

Yvonne Maurer grew up in Basel , where she graduated from the university with a diploma as a gymnastics and sports teacher and studied medicine in 1969 with a state examination. She then worked as an assistant doctor and received her doctorate in 1973. In 1975 she obtained the title of specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. From 1974 to 1983 she was senior physician , from 1976 deputy head physician at the psychiatric clinic Sanatorium in Kilchberg near Zurich, and president of the school commission Südhalde in Zurich (school for psychiatric nursing). In 1982 she founded the Institute for Body-Centered Psychotherapy (IKP) in Zurich, and later also in Bern. In 1987 she co-founded the European Association for Body Psychotherapy (European Society for Body Psychotherapy, EABP).

From 1979 to 1991, as a Cantonal Councilor of the FDP in the Zurich Cantonal Council, she mainly devoted herself to health issues, the public transport network (Sihltalbahn), etc. In 2011, she left the party.

From 1998 to 2000, she trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which she completed with the “Acupuncture - Traditional Chinese Medicine” (ASA) certificate. 2005 Recognition of the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic (IKP), which she founded and runs in Zurich, by the cantonal health department. In 2007, she joined the University of Lucerne to study theology with the licentiate from. In 2010 she did her doctorate in Germany with Doris Nauer at the University of Vallendar, where she was awarded a doctorate in theology with a dissertation on healing miracles. Since 2007 she can be seen regularly on TV channels with counseling for life. The title of the show is Christian Coaching .

In 2017 she initiated the Swiss private television broadcaster Auftanken.tv.
