Zanthropya Ex is a German death metal band from Trossingen . The band was founded in 2007 by the brothers Schinder Papst and JenZo 'and has released four albums so far . Zanthropya Ex represents itself with the guiding principle "Bloody, morbid, perverse and brutal - we are the mirror of our times".

history

With the founding of Zanthropya Ex by the two brothers Schinder Papst and JenZo 'in 2007, the basis of the band was created. In the same year the guitarist Marcello Salazar, the bassist Krigshetsare and the drummer Tycron were added, completing the band.

A short time later, the first album was independently produced and published under the title Apathic the Sun against the Sun. The first concert Zanthropya Ex played the following year in Radolfzell , which was followed by another appearance at the Drunken Drums Festival in their hometown of Trossingen .

The second self-produced album Seuchenherr was released in 2009. In the same year the band played at the Legacy Fest in Dessau and a year later at the Baden in Blut Festival in Lörrach . In the same year the drummer Tycron got out and the band was completed again by Lörk.

Then became the first in 2011 studio album stopgap head shot under the label of service SAOL, the promotion and management -Agentur cmm GmbH, published and distributed. The production of the studio album was carried out by Connie Andreszka ( Mystic Prophecy ) and the design was conceived by Metalartworks. The band then played at Delta Tau Chi - The Animal House in Donaueschingen and at the Metalfest in LKA Longhorn in Stuttgart .

In 2012 the bassist Krigshetsare and the guitarist Marcello Salazar left the band, whereupon Arez took over the bass and Crox the guitar. In the same year, the band played on the Barge to Hell in Miami ( 70,000 Tons of Metal ), which took place on a cruise ship in Miami, as well as the opening act for Finsterforst and several times on the XMAS in Hell Tour of Six Feet Under .

With the LP Whore my senses in 2014, which was also produced by Connie Andreszka (Mystic Prophecy) and designed by Metalartworks, the band released their second studio album under the genre name " Misanthropic Death". In the same year bassist Arez got out and was replaced by Abyssos. The band also played at the MetalDays in Tolmin in the middle of the year .

Half a year later, the band played in the opening act for the complete XMAS in Hell Tour by Six Feet Under.

style

The band plays a mixture of Death Metal and Thrash Metal with German lyrics . The songs are based on an alternation between hard and punchy passages as well as between slow and melody-conscious sections.
