The Zenit is a survey ship of the waterway and navigation administration of the Federal .
history
The ship ordered at the end of May 2002 was built in 2003/2004. The hull was built under construction number 02/1/1960 at the Jantar shipyard in Kaliningrad , Russia . The keel was laid on June 24th, the launch on August 4th, 2003. The ship was equipped by Ms. Fassmer in Berne / Motzen. Completion took place on February 5, 2004. On this day the ship was christened and put into service in mid-February for the Bremerhaven Waterways and Shipping Authority.
Today the ship belongs to the Waterways and Shipping Office Weser-Jade-Nordsee and is used for sounding tasks on the Weser .
Technical data and equipment
The ship is powered by a six - cylinder four - stroke diesel engine from the manufacturer Cummins (type: KTA 19 M3) with an output of 477 kW . The engine acts on a fixed propeller via a gearbox . The ship reaches a speed of 12 knots .
Two generators with an apparent power of 32.5 kVA each are available for the power supply . The ship has a bow thruster with an output of 50 kW.
In 2015, the ship received a new EM2040C fan-out system from Kongsberg Maritime . Two cranes are installed in the area of the open working deck behind the superstructures.
