Central Alberta
Central Alberta (also called Alberta's Heartland ) is one of the six regions of the Canadian province of Alberta with 240,368 inhabitants (as of 2004). The most densely populated region of the province lives mainly from oil and gas production and from agriculture.

The region encompasses the populous Calgary-Edmonton Corridor and completely surrounds the Edmonton Capital Region .
