history

Around 1880 Wenceslas Donth was at the highest point of between Schwarzenthal and Johannisbad uplifting Ladichrückens northwest of helping village on Polke Dorfer corridor in maple forest a wooden chalet with a veranda next to erect a 3.20 m high stone observation deck. The landlord of the Donthbaude successfully used the advantage of the location compared to the Hofmannbaude in the valley. A little later, Franz Fries built another hut on the neighboring Ladighöhe with the Ladigbaude . Because of the view offered by the ridge, both buildings became popular excursion destinations for the Johannisbad spa guests. Wenzel's son Vinzenz Donth took over the building in 1907 and had a 165 m² dance hall added three years later. To finance it, he sold his part of the forest in Rudolphstal. After the end of the First World War, the Donthbaude / Donthova bouda with its 20 heated rooms gained great popularity among winter sports enthusiasts and was given the new name Zlatá Vyhlídka / Golden View .

At the end of the 1920s, Vinzenz Donth's daughter Marie Nožičková-Donthová took over the house. Marie Nožičková and her husband Bohumil had a new dining room and a farm building with garages built in the 1930s. During this time, to the west of the previously isolated building, another plot was built, on which four inns were built to compete with the Golden View . However, their concept was unsuccessful and they did not last long. The dance evenings on the Golden View attracted young people from the surrounding areas. Furthermore, recruits' farewells, fire brigade, forest, mask and rag balls were held every year. After the Second World War, the widow Marie Nožičková-Donthová ran the Zlatá Vyhlídka together with their son Bohumil and daughter Marie .

Together with Bolkov , Zlatá Vyhlídka was annexed to Rudník in 1946 and incorporated in 1952. In the second half of the 20th century, the building was nationalized and served as a holiday property for the Antonín Zápotocký works in Jaroměř ; the dilapidated viewing terrace was demolished. In the course of a cadastral settlement, the Zlatá Vyhlídka shack was added to the Janské Lázně cadastre as house number 197 . After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the run-down building was privatized again. The owners changed frequently and could not restore the old reputation. In 2004 the Vyhlídka sro company acquired the building. It was closed. The demolition of the building began in May 2006 and a modern new building with apartments was built in its place by 2008.

A 21.2 m high observation tower in steel construction was erected in front of the new building in 2008. The viewing platform can be reached via 70 steps and is 18 m high.

The former buildings on the western slope are now used as holiday homes.
