To Our Lady of Sorrows (Eggelhof)
The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Eggelhof , a district of the municipality of Langweid am Lech in the Augsburg district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , is a protected architectural monument .
The hall building with a stab cap barrel and a retracted choir closed on five sides has a tower with a tent roof on the south side . The late Gothic choir, with remnants of the net vault on half-height circular services, was built in 1488. The nave with three window axes was built by Joseph Meitinger in 1765 . The two-storey sacristy is built on the south side , above which the tower rises.
The frescoes created in 1765 are by Johann Baptist Enderle .
The high altar from 1692 has a carved group of the death of the Virgin from around 1480/90 and a Pietà in the structure , which is dated around 1510/20.
