Minneapolis, Minnesota's NFL effort, prior to the Vikings, the Marines played from 1921-1924. The franchise was reactivated as the Red Jackets from 1929-1930. The team played at least some of its games at Nicollet Park. The team was originally founded in 1905 by John Dunn and Val Ness.
