Minneapolis Marines/Red Jackets

Minneapolis, Minnesota's NFL effort, prior to the Vikings, the Marines played from 1921-1924. The franchise was reactivated as the Red Jackets from 1929-1930. The team played at least some of its games at Nicollet Park. The team was originally founded in 1905 by John Dunn and Val Ness. Former Gopher Bobby Marshall played for the Marines.
