Temporary table for related sites

Editor note: This alternative table with coordinates and other features, consistent with other state NHL lists, is to be cannibalized to add to the table above. It is based on an imperfect report out of imperfect NRIS database. Also, any NRHPs listed here that are not NHLs, should get articles created describing their association with an NHL District or their inclusion of an NHL, before removing from this list.

Historic areas of the NPS in Massachusetts

National Historical Parks, some National Monuments, and certain other areas listed in the National Park system are historic landmarks of national importance that are highly protected already, often before the inauguration of the NHL program in 1960, and are then often not also named NHLs per se. There are two of these in Boston, and 10 elsewhere in Massachusetts. The National Park Service lists these together with the NHLs in the state.[5]

Four of the 10, John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site, Longfellow National Historic Site, Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site and Springfield Armory National Historic Site, are also NHLs and are listed above. The remaining six outside of Boston are:
