(10932) Rebentrost is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on February 18, 1998 by the German astronomer Gerhard Lehmann at the Drebach observatory ( IAU code 113) in Saxony .
The asteroid was named on September 28, 1999 after the German doctor , pharmacist and pastor David Rebentrost (1614-1703), who created a famous plant garden in Drebach with mainly medicinal herbs, which he used for his medical activities. In gratitude for the healing of Elector Johann Georg II , he received not only a yew tree and other rare plants but also crocuses from the Elector's gardens, from which the famous Drebach crocus meadows emerged over time .
