(11066) Sigurd is a near-Earth asteroid (planetoid) of the Apollo type . These are heavenly bodies whose orbit the earth's orbit can cross.

The asteroid was discovered on February 9, 1992 by CS Shoemaker and EM Shoemaker at the Palomar Observatory and was named on May 23, 2000 after Sigurd , a hero from Nordic mythology ( Edda , Völsunga saga ).

Sigurd is an asteroid of the spectral type K.
