(2744) Birgitta ( 1975 RB ; 1933 QY ) is an asteroid of the inner main belt that was discovered on September 4, 1975 by the Swedish astronomer Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist at the observatory Kvistaberg in the municipality of Upplands-Bro in the province of Stockholm County in Sweden ( IAU- Code 049) was discovered.

(2744) Birgitta was named after Anna Birgitta Angelica Lagerkvist , the daughter of the explorer Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist.
