(64553) Segorbe is a main inner belt asteroid discovered by Spanish astronomer Rafael Ferrando on November 24, 2001 at the Pla D'Arguines Observatory ( IAU code 941) in Segorbe , Valencia Province . The asteroid had already been sighted on January 5th, 6th and 8th 1995 under the provisional designation 1995 AT 4 at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg in the Tautenburg Forest .
(64553) Segorbe was named after the city of Segorbe on September 10, 2003.
