Çağlar Şahin Akbaba (born March 17, 1995 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper who currently plays for Adana Demirspor .

Career

Akbaba was born in the Konak district of the western Turkish city of Izmir . Here he began with club football in the youth of the traditional club Bucaspor . In the summer of 2012, with a professional contract, he was accepted into the professional squad by coach Sait Karafırtınalar , but continued to play mainly for the club's reserve team. He made his professional debut on December 30, 2013 in the second division match against Manisaspor .

In the summer of 2015 he was loaned to the second division side Elazığspor for two seasons . For the 2017/17 season, he and his teammate Hamidou Traoré moved to the first division club Kardemir Karabükspor . After Karabükspor's relegation in the summer of 2018, he moved to the second division side Adana Demirspor . A season later he moved within the TFF 1st Lig to Bursaspor .

National team

Akbaba was nominated twice for the Turkish U-19 national team in 2013 and played one game.
