Abdullahi Shehu (born March 12, 1993 in Sokoto ) is a Nigerian football player .

Career

society

Shehu played in the youth department of Plateau United and started his professional career in 2012 with the Kano Pillars . In 2014 he began his career abroad with his move to the Kuwaiti club al Qadsia . With this club he won the AFC Cup at the beginning of his first season and the Kuwait Emir Cup and the Kuwait Super Cup at the end of his first season . Despite this success, he left al Qadsia after a season and moved on to the Portuguese club União Madeira . Shehu also stayed with the Madeirans for only one season and moved to the Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta in the summer of 2016 .

In the summer transfer period of 2018, Shehu was signed to Bursaspor by the Turkish Süper Lig .

National team

Shehu started his national team career in 2013 with a stint for the Nigerian U-20 national team . After two appearances for the Nigerian U-21 national team , he started playing for the Nigerian senior team in 2014 .

In 2016 he was part of the squad of his country's Olympic selection that took part in the Summer Olympics, and won the bronze medal with his Teial.
