Emilie Lesbros

Émilie Lesbros (also: Miss Elie ; born November 30th in Marseille ) is a French singer who has emerged in the fields of jazz , gothic metal and new improvisational music.

Early on, Lesbros was active in a wide variety of projects that dealt with rock music , punk or electronic music . At the age of 20 she started studying jazz and classical music at the conservatory .

Since 2002 she has worked with Barre Phillips in various constellations. She also sang in the rock band Rosa ( The Gift , 2005) and worked as a studio musician in the metal sector. The singer has appeared in solo performances since 2005. With Frantz Loriot and Pascal Niggenkemper she formed the trio Speaking Tube . She also worked with Raymond Boni , Daunik Lazro , Xavier Charles , Eve Risser , David Allen , Sarah Bernstein , Hélène Breschand , Hasse Poulsen , Sabir Mateen and Mara Rosenbloom . In 2011 she released her solo album Attraction terrestre . In her group Single Room (with Julia Kent and Rafaelle Rinaudo) she devotes herself to eccentric pop music .

Lesbros can also be heard on albums by Pascal Niggenkemper ( vision7 ), Darius Jones ( Le bébé de Brigitte ), Penumbra , Tristania and Sirenia .
